Vendor Management
At Logoscript, we pay special attention to our vendor management activities. We strongly believe that selecting the optimal resource is a key element in the delivery of the highest quality product on time. We maintain favorable relationships with our most trusted resources and at the same time we recruit new resources that are specialized in other languages or fields. The key to vendor management is constant research and testing of new resources and management of existing resources.
Vendor management responsibilities include:
- Research, identification and selection of translators to interview. We look at appropriate education, training, work experience, technical set-up, technical competence, and language combination skill set.
- Testing candidates using linguistic and/or technical tests (by language and subject).
- Once a translator is approved and added to our database, special attention is given to the quality of the first projects, in order to ensure that quality standards are maintained on real projects.
- Acquire and manage feedback from experienced proof-readers via the Review form. The review forms are provided to the language coordinator who will keep an overview of the quality delivered by freelance resources.
Logoscript continuously manages our resource database in order to develop our pool of translators. Because of these efforts we have carried out very important projects into Brazilian Portuguese, Iberian Portuguese and Catalan.
